[ Graduation ]

Yay for me, I finally graduated yesterday!
I can't believe I've been through 5 years of slog (and partying
) and now it's all over. Thank goodness!! Hahaha ... I'm sure I'll miss uni days though once I start working hard.
I'll always cherish my days at UWA, by far the best university in Western Australia, and all the friendships that I've made there. We've had a lot of memories, many happy times in this picturesque campus. Who can forget the tavern in between lectures! Or the ref, the cool hangout in first year, but not so cool as we progressed to the guild village cafe ... Can't forget Oak Lawn where we soaked up the rays on a clear blue summer's day. And of course, the first floor of the law library, our sleeping and gossip sanctuary :p (not to mention good spot for perving at cute first year boys! haahaaa ... *ahem*)
Well, it's been a real journey, 5 years of long study and it's time to embark on the next step of the journey. I'm sure I'll have just as good of a time discovering what awaits me in the real world ...

Apologies; I've been rather lazy to update my blog in the last week or so. Been busy, but at the same time haven't really had the mood to blog. On the personal front, a lot going on ... but not feeling too comfortable to be sharing it in public soooooo ... too bad!!!!

[ The quiet streets of Perth ]

Last night, I met up with my friend Chad. He's visiting from Sydney, in Perth for a few days to compete in the National Dragon Boat Racing Championships. Congrats to their NSW team for winning 5 of the 6 categories!
We went out to Northbridge (James St in particular) which was TOTALLY dead. Only a handful of restaurants and cafes were open ... and every single club/bar was closed (I think it's actually against the law to open a club on Good Friday?). So it wasn't a terribly good night to bring out a first timer to Perth and introduce the 'happening' area of Perth ... which wasn't very happening at all :| I had a pretty hard time convincing Chad that Perth isn't ALWAYS so dead ... he kept commenting that he felt he was in a country town
But nevermind! In the end, we managed to find a nice cafe and have a nice drink and catch up

Nothing much except to say that I've been kept busy these last few weeks ... so no time to blog, and if I do have time, I rather sleep or vegetate in front of the tv.
I'm actually leaving Perth very soon (although this is the second attempt) and there is just so much I still have to do, so many people I still have(/want) to see, and in general, having a few second thoughts about the whole moving thing ... I've wanted this for such a long time that the whole reason and drive have somehow deteriorated over time. Hard to explain, just trust me on this one ...
Will update with some pictures tomorrow, or whenever I feel like it ... at this rate, it could be when I'm out of Perth tho

[ Slipping away ]

It's been yet another busy week. In just over one week, I'll be out of this place (Perth)! I'm heading over to KL for a short while to visit some relatives and friends before heading down to Singapore. It's been quite some time since I've stepped into KL (always spending too much time in Singapore) so I'm looking forward to this trip ... trying not to bust the bank account? Hahaha ...
Anyway a few pictures ... sorry no time to really write much about what I've been up to, feel rather sad that I've been neglecting my poor blog ... but what to do!

[ Weekend gone ]

Had a great weekend! Well, specifically had a good Saturday night out I went down to my friend's bday at Luxe Bar, ultra hip bar down at Mt Lawley ... saw a whole group of people who I haven't seen for months/years? Such a surprise to catch up with one particular friend, Brandon, who I haven't seen since he left Perth for Korea to complete his national service 3 years back. He's now back to continue his uni studies ... and he hasn't changed a bit! (Oh except for his hair which is a lot shorter ... haha) Saw a few other people who I don't regularly meet up with and apparently I'm hard to recognise with my long hair now!

Actually I realised that I didn't take that many pictures, was too occupied chit-chatting

Btw, I've extended my departure from Perth for a few days ... meaning I still have a little more time to mull here. I dont really have that much to pack actually, but my procrastionating ways are preventing me from actually getting down to just doing it I also want to meet up with all my friends, say goodbyes and what not. And even though I know that I'll be back (some day ... unsure of when exactly tho!), I still feel a need to visit certain Perth landmark places for "one last time" ...

Certain circumstances have left me with no choice but to suspend updating my blog for the time being. I don't particularly want to elaborate on this public forum, but let's just say, I think I need my life to remain private and low key just for a while.
Actually I think I'll only continue writing under 'friends only' posts ... so you know what to do peepz!
