[ Back, the other "home" ]

I was welcomed with the sweltering heat this early afternoon when I returned back to Singapore, my so-called current "home". I was too tired to feel really homesick (745am flight, which I was almost late for!), though I know that deep down inside there's a part of me that will always miss Perth.. no matter how much I detested living there. Afterall, it will always be home; the comfort and warmth of family, the home cooked meals (Daddy's brilliant cooking!), knowing there's always milk and bread in the house, the things always taken for granted until one moves out and finds independence.
Anyhow, more about my trip (in short, much fun!) next time.. pictures too!
Meanwhile, back to reality and work tomorrow - first day of compulsory overtime :|

[ Junkfood binge ]

I'm on a serious junkfood binge, I just ate a four finger KitKat (new - Cappuccino Flavour, not too bad) and earlier I ate one Kinder Bueno bar (I love this and how it just melts deliciously in your mouth). And yesterday I finished off all the green apple mentos in half and hour. And my drawer is still full of more goodies...
... thankfully, I'm going to the gym today to have a session with my PT.

A friend had free tix to see Boy George spin at the newly opened DXO (yes, it IS a NTUC club!!). Some of you may remember the old Embassy, down near Esplanade which closed down a while back - DXO is the renovated and face-lifted result.
Very cool night out (albeit late, I fell asleep before being woken up by a phonecall asking "WHERE ARE YOU GIRL?!"
) , loved the music (and I could have sworn he was constantly smiling down at the crowd) and danced until my feet (and legs) ached. Low point of the night was when a Caucasian chick got severely pissed off at this Asian dude and started throwing glasses at him, and then tried to strangle him. This went on for longer than it should have, before each party's respective friends had to seperate them. WHERE were the bouncers?!?!

I never imagined I would step into that place again, but last night I went to party at Newsroom Bar (Mohammed Sultan). It used to be somewhat of a regular hangout; in another time and space, when Singapore wasn't yet my home.
I guess how much "fun" you have, all depends on you. Sometimes a place can be crappy (nothing there takes my fancy), but with decent company and the right attitude, you can make the most of the situation and have a good night out. Just put a smile on your face, and love the world.. it may love you back.
In a loose-ish sort of way, what I'm trying to say is that you control your own happiness.

Ok, so I noticed that the number of pictures on my blog has severely decreased but that's because:
a) I don't carry around my camera like a tourist anymore;
b) I don't have time to use my camera; and
c) I have (virtually) no life outside work (oh, except for MAYBE weekends).
Probably more reasons, but I can't be buggered.
So anyway, just to keep interest up (and to let all you people see how much my looks have changed over time .. i.e. how much fatter I've become), a few pictures mainly from when I was in Perth earlier this month..

[ Vesak Day long weekend ]

Long weekends are just such wonderful things!
BUT too much partying. Last night was especially crazy, too many vodka redbulls (think 10) in too little time, and too late in the night (or perhaps you could say, early in the morning?) rendered me unable to fall asleep until around 6am. I could feel my heart beating unnaturally fast, like the sound of my pulse was just pounding in my ears .. we won't be doing that again!! (for a while..heh)
Paintball tomorrow morning, bright and early at 845am (impossible?!).. but am heading out soon-ish to complete three nights of hardcore partying

INSTANT results I tell you. I put it on and went to the bathroom and WOW, sexy puffy lips. I'll practise my pout and post up a picture heh.. My colleague then asked me later what happened to my lips, they looked bigger?
Yep, this is it girls - for fuller, luscious looking lips. I sound like an ad, but seriously, give it a go if you're interested in getting the Angelina Jolie type look. Heh.
