I was awoken on the phone this morning with some lovely news from one of my closest friends back in Perth - her bf had proposed to her, and obviously, she said yes! So exciting, one of the taitai's is on the way to becoming a real taitai!

Hah, to you know who you are - I told you I wouldn't be the first!!

[ Rewind: a few photos from July ]
posted @ 08:17 AM by fel

One of my sisters (Adeline) came to see me way back in July, a few pictures as photo evidence:

'twas fun having her around, even if it was only for four/five days. I even put up with her nasty sleeping habits heh

In other news, went to see Stomp! @ the Esplanade last Fri with some friends. Thoroughly enjoyed it, we had pretty decent seats (hah but expected since FF insisted we all get the most expensive category tickets ) so I could actually see what was going on. It was a fun production and took my mind off things, just what I needed in fact.

Last Sat was my company D&D held at the Shangri-la Hotel ballroom. Severly disappointed with the food and the service, but the performances (put on by fellow colleagues in fact!) were a treat to watch. It's always enjoyable to see people you know up on stage making a fool of themselves (ok ok some of them actually had talent!! shock horror), all in the name of good fun and entertainment Photos to come, but knowing me, not sure when that will be

Work has been extremely busy and really, has been my life at late. How pathetic. However, the little white envelopes were given out earlier this week; all I will say is it was decent/acceptable, and I'm not handing in my resignation in violent protest just yet...

For the millionth time, I would like to announce how fricking busy I am with work. Doing work at the moment, decided to leave the office and go home and change into comfy shorts/t-shirt and continue with work. Boo.

However surprisingly, I've still managed to have somewhat of a "life" this weekend. I had a couple of friends in town from Sydney. C and T were sent here for work for their client, and CC is here for "work" i.e. to play golf - you slacker! After a long day in the office (left at 8.30pm), went partying out on Saturday night; took them to see some of the nightlife at Bar None. Much fun, lots of dancing and merry making Managed to meet up with a friend for lunch at Chin Chin on Sunday and then went to see Quidam (second attempt!). Amazing stuff, thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely would love to catch any of the other Cirque du Soleil shows if possible. Last night after work managed to meet up with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in the longest time as well as the Sydney visitors down at Balaclava. Turned out to be a late one as we proceeded on to party at a dodgy ah-beng hangout (heh) until the wee early hours of the morning. Don't ask me how I managed to crawl out of bed this morning to go to work

Work hard, party harder. Always been my motto and still is.

I have hardly been at home of late. Many late nights in the office, including yesterday (sigh, my third weekend spent working), and then zipping back home to shower+change+make-up, then it's straight out to party.

Last weekend was S's birthday, and after a long attempt we finally managed to get her puking. heheh, YES that is the only purpose of a birthday gathering - to make sure the birthday girl/boy is superbly wasted S is a pretty strong drinker, don't let her petite looks fool you, and we had to use the "dentist chair" (apt because she is a dentist heh) before she even faltered. Then went on to Living Room.

Friday night, Zouk re-opening after shutting down for a month for renovations (supposedly costing SGD7 million!!!!) - superly packed! And the renovation? Looks more like the KL Zouk now (think white alien space ship like look) and lots of fairy lights. And the aircon is now super powerful, freezing my butt off; reminded of me of the days we used to go clubbing in Perth during winter!

Saturday night, M and E were in town for their annual Singapore one week tour together with C and A. Down at Wine Bar (1 for 1 drinks), then to Velvet for more drinks.

It's funny isn't it; I have no time to do a mani/pedi, my hair (I'm thinking of rebonding again?), facial etc .. but I somehow I ALWAYS have time for drinks and a late night out
