[ Another workaholic day ]

Went for a 5km run by the Esplanade / Marina Promenade / Singapore river today .. then went back to work til midnight.
Such is my life.
Oh in other news, I got a haircut at Le Salon (Takashimaya). I now have a fringe (again) as my hair stylist insisted on giving a sexy layered look. Heh.

[ PS Cafe ]
posted @ 04:01 AM by fel

We headed to PS Cafe last night, one of the "latest and greatest" and most-raved-about eateries in Singapore, finally after months of wanting to go and check it out. We made a booking well in advance (2 weeks) for fear of not being able to secure a table .....
Anyhow, our take? Food was quite good, not as mind-blowing as we had expected I suppose, but above average. The lamb shanks was delicious, the moussaka was decent, portabello mushrooms were so-so, and the prawn pasta, well pasta is not my thing anyway. The other girls dabbled with desserts; chocolate cake was supposedly amazing, and ginger pudding seemed rather tasty, but the sticky date was average at best.
However, this place won us over with the ambience and the drinks. I can't really find the suitable words to describe the atmosphere of this place, but I shall try; I suppose it reminds me when I used to go on school camp back in Australia.. a little building, with full glass windows, tin roof, wooden floor boards, all that is surrounding is gravel and trees.. laid back, relaxing and comfortable environment, perfect for swigging back a glass of red or two. And yes, the drinks (cocktails etc) were well made, and actually tasted like they should! (or is it that I've been going to Zouk too often, where the drinks are just overpriced and B-A-D
)

[ Weddings make me cry ]
posted @ 12:31 AM by fel
This morning, I attended my friends' (church) wedding at Wesley Methodist.

As cliched as it sounds, the bride was beautiful and groom was handsome, and I was just so happy to be witness to the ceremony. I'm not the biggest fan of weddings in general, but when I see two people I know are genuinely in love, professing this and willing to commit themselves, it does jerk a tear or two.
Reception tonight, need to get some rest now...
