[ Yet another Bangkok weekend ]

Just touched down back into Singapore, yet another impromptu weekend trip to Bangkok just gone by.

Flew out on Friday afternoon, stuck in queues at immigration and the airport taxi line and then notoriously bad Bangkok traffic, but finally made it for a (drunken) Friday evening out at V9 (Sofitel) and then to Bed; Saturday, lazed by the pool and regained my tan!, a Chinatown adventure/photoexcursion in the afternoon, sunset by the Chao Praya overlooking Wat Arun, Thai dinner at Ban Chiang, drinks at the classy Ishq (and to view a photo exhibition), not-so-classy at Coyote for margharitas (although the drinks were good, the entertainment was not so...), and things went really down hill when we made it to the Novotel @ Siam Square club downstairs (hotel bars/clubs are always - to varying degrees - seedy joints!); a lazy Sunday brunch at the Dubliner for beer, burgers and live music, then to a friend's place to drink wine in his gorgeous little garden (trying our best to avert the coconuts that we feared were going to fall out from the trees at any moment), and then whisked off to the airport for the last flight out of Bangkok and back into Singapore.

All in all, a short and sweet weekend, and back to the grind on Monday (only a couple more hours, sigh...)

Oops oops oops, I have been spending uncontrollably for the last few weeks, perhaps as a means of (retail) therapy?

But, oh how to resist; yesterday I bought this gorgeous BCBG dress:



And recently, I have been spending a mini fortune at Giordano Ladies, to the point where I was able to get two extra priviledge cards. Oops.

And shoes!! Oh the weakness...

Ok ok ok... so, some sort of control / restraint is in order...
