[ Trying to make my life my own ]

Oh so so busy, I feel guilty when I indulge in a moment of rest.. but heck, last weekend was my birthday weekend, and how often does someone turn a quarter of a century old (oops, I just let the cat out of the bag re: my age..... )
It started with Decadent Red, my red themed birthday party last Friday night at skin (Red Dot Traffic Building), lots of friends, lots of alcohol, combined meaning a lot a lot a lot of fun Plenty of photo evidence to come ... continuing onto Saturday evening (day was spent in recovery!) for dinner and drinks in the Mohd Sultan area, plus a bit of football (watching of course) ... Sunday was dinner with the girls at The Turquoise Room (Alexandra Road area..) and then onto champagne at il Lido (Sentosa) ... took the day off on Monday, my actual birthday, to relax and just do almost nothing at all, just like all birthdays should be, ending the night at one of my favourite places in Singapore ... all in all, a very long enjoyable birthday weekend I must say 
Other than work, which has been ruling most of my life (for the past hmmm year or so?!), what else, what else? Oh, I've taken up laser sailing, had my second lesson today, and what a great way to spice up a beginner's enthusiasm but to have a huge storm out at sea, getting capsized completely, and having to be rescued whilst witnessing lightening hit the water. Yes, it was a rather eventful lesson today! Next week is my test, and I'll have my Level 1 license (hopefully if I manage to pass!! haha) Lots of bruises have been acquired, but also a nice healthy tan and hopefully some stronger abs haha
Anyway, another couple of weeks of this and I'll be taking some time off to do a little bit of traveling. September is intense, but bring on October - I cannot wait!!!!

Booked and bought my tickets to Europe; Paris, London, here I come!
But until then, a couple of weeks of serious intensity at work
Can't wait til its over, I'm starting to tire..
In other rather big news, my secondment has been announced (by my boss) and so soon, this girl will no longer be in Singapore. However, a mountain of paperwork still to be done, so let's hope for no delays in the process, and that I can make this official. Still, I am rather excited!

The last few Sundays, I have foregone my lazy Sunday sleep-in time to take up laser sailing classes. Today, we sat our test (both practical and theory), and what do you know, I passed! Yay! And I didn't capsize today at all! Double yay!
