The months of October, November and December have been filled with much traveling, and this girl is starting to feel a tad worn out. Crazy craaaazy hours at work, jamming in trips in between, a little bit of partying thrown in between; it has left me in a pretty tired state. It was nice to be in Singapore on a Saturday, it feels like its been a while (last weekend I was forced to fly down to Jakarta, hellish!) ... but unfortunately a quick trip up to JB tomorrow for the day. I resolve to stay in Singapore next weekend!!!!

Some of the members of my team at work...

So the theme was DXL Awards Night, something along the lines of the Oscars (but not really), and held at the rather posh Swissotel. DXL meaning "Driving Excellence" ... ok anyway to cut a long story short, I was nominated for an award - Carpe Diem, Achievements in Work-Life Balance - HAH, quite an irony in itself. I didn't win, but then again, did I really want to... ?

Anyhow fun night with my work mates, many of whom were involved (our team has a bit of reputation of being dynamic and very involved in the social activities of the firm!) - one was co-MC, another was an awards presenter, two of us nominated for awards, and one of my colleagues performed in the band! After the free flow boozing, it was up to New Asia Bar for yet another rowdy Saturday night of clubbing....

A week to Christmas, whoo hoo! Not so whoo hoo is the fact that although I've done a little bit of Christmas prezzie shopping, there is still a bit more to done and its for the important people in my life... I love giving (and receiving! heh) gifts, but trying to find the perfect present is absolutely impossible. So I have resigned to fate and decided not to try too hard Not to mention, Orchard Road at this time of the year is absolutely HELLISH, and it doesn't help when the rain is at its heaviest during this monsoon period.... argh....

On a humourous side note, my baby sister has already "spoiled" the surprise and told me what other family members have bought me for Christmas - I have a bad habit of buying stuff for myself whilst shopping for others (oops!), so this was done in some way to mitigate the risk that I buy something they have already bought

Am looking forward to Christmas, and especially the break away from work. Heading to Malaysia next weekend, some intense bus traveling to be done over Sat, Sun and Monday, but then off to Bangkok with the girls for a week of indulgence (food! party! massages! shopping!!!!) and to celebrate the new year Thai style
